What costs can you expect if you have an air conditioning leak?

Most of the time, a leak in an air conditioner is repaired for around $350.  It most likely involves a hose that needs to be replaced.

Lately I have seen more compressors that are leaking.  Some just slightly and others need replacing.

If you drive by, and I look at the air conditioner for 5 minutes I usually can tell you how expensive it is going to be to repair.  It doesn't take much of my time to analyze an air conditioning system unless you have one of those hard to find leaks.  Normally by just looking into the engine compartment, one can see clues to how well the air conditioning system is performing.
